ELIGIBILITY:

1.         IOE, Pulchowk Campus:

Pulchowk Campus is the central campus of the Institute of Engineering. It was established in 1972(2029 B.S.) as one of the constituent campuses of the Institute of Engineering and is situated at the heart of the Lalitpur city at Pulchowk. Initially, it was started for the production of trade level manpower to fulfill the nation’s need in the field of Engineering. Pulchowk campus offered diploma level (intermediate level with three years duration) courses in various engineering disciplines since 1973 (2030 B.S.) but diploma level courses are phased out now. Pulchowk campus has been offering bachelor’s degree courses in various engineering disciplines since 1984 (2041 B.S.)
Pulchowk Campus offers bachelors, masters and Ph. D. programs in different areas of engineering. 2.         IOE, Thapathali Campus:

From 2029 B.S. Technical Training Institute (TTI) was renamed as Thapathali Campus under Tribhuvan University (T.U.) and known as Institute of Engineering, Thapathali Campus thereafter. Campus started a diploma in mechanical engineering and the diploma in automobile engineering 2043 B.S. and later on, diploma in electronics engineering and diploma computer engineering started from 2058 B.S.
According to the policy of Institute of Engineering (IOE), the campus introduced Bachelor in Industrial engineering in 2062 B.S., bachelor in Civil engineering in 2066 B.S., Bachelor in electronics and communication engineering in 2067 B.S., bachelor in mechanical engineering in 2068 B.S., by stopping new intakes in any diploma courses from 2070 B. S. Again, Campus has intake in bachelor in architecture and master in earthquake engineering in 2071 B.S., bachelor in automobile engineering in 2072 B.S. and master in mechanical design & manufacturing in 2073 B.S. also.

Kathmandu University school of engineering was established on September 19, 1994, and has been running undergraduate and graduate level programs in many areas. Purwanchal Campus, formerly known as Eastern Region (ERC) Campus is one of constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University (TU) and one of the associate engineering campuses of Institute of Engineering (IOE) which is a comprehensive, non-profit making, autonomous institution and pioneering institution of higher education level in Nepal funded by government of Nepal. It is situated at Gangalal Marg, Tinkune, Dharan-8, Sunsari district in the eastern region of Nepal. It occupies areas of 443 ropani (34-13-11.75 Bigahas) in convenient unit, which is equivalent to about 225.4 square kilometers. It is adjacent to Charkose Jhadi (densely forest) in the north and located at entrance gate by bus of Dharan Sub-metropolitan city.
It was established in Poush of 2034 BS (1976) under the loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In another agreement with the government of the United Kingdom (UK) held in Shrawn, 2035 BS (1978), the technical assistance was provided by the government of the United Kingdom (UK). ERC was formally organized under the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University (TU) and all the construction works were completed in 2043 BS (1984).
