How GPA is calculated

A GPA is a weighted average. Each subject's grade point is multiplied by its credit hours, the results are added, and the total is divided by the total credit hours. Subjects with more credits count more.

GPA = Σ (credit hours × grade point) ÷ Σ credit hours

University 4.0 scale

Semester programmes at TU, PU and KU use letter grades on a 4.0 scale: A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, and so on. The percentage bands behind each letter differ between universities and faculties, so enter the letter grade from your mark sheet rather than converting marks yourself.

How do I find CGPA?

Does IOE use GPA?

IOE's older BE programmes were marked in percentage with divisions. Newer programmes and many other faculties use grade points. Always follow the rules printed on your transcript.
